Foo Fighters and Ed Sheeran set for Etihad Stadium gigs in summer 2018.

Manchester City will welcome the Foo Fighters to the Etihad Stadium next summer.

Fresh from headlining Cal Jam Festival in California, the US rockers have announced three UK stadium shows in 2018 and will be on stage at the home of the Blues for one night only on Tuesday 19 June.

2017 has been quite the year for the Dave Grohl fronted six-piece, with the release of their highly acclaimed number one album, Concrete and Gold, following a headline slot at Glastonbury, which reaffirmed their status as one of the world’s best rock bands.

Tickets for the gig will be on sale from 9am on Friday 20 October at Gigs and Tours.

Ed Sheeran

Manchester City will also host Ed Sheeran next summer as part of his 2018 UK tour.

With the first three dates sold out of general admission tickets, Sheeran has now announced the 27 May as a fourth date.

A global star, Sheeran is enjoying a hugely successful 2017. His third album ÷ is currently the biggest selling of the year and he drew one of Glastonbury’s biggest ever crowds to close the festival on the Pyramid Stage.

The hitmaker is now set for the home of the Blues, with tickets for his Etihad show on sale now at www.edsheeran.com.
