Pep Guardiola’s side face Burnley at Turf Moor on Friday 11 August, with kick-off scheduled for 20:00 (UK).

The City boss said that new signing Josko Gvardiol will be in the squad to face Burnley along with Nathan Ake after both missed the Community Shield clash with Arsenal.
Guardiola is also expecting a tough game against Burnley, saying newly-promoted sides can be difficult opponents in the opening weeks of the season.
“Normally the first games are difficult,” he said. “Especially against newly-promoted teams because they have nothing to lose, they have the energy and the dream for a good season.
“Vinny [Kompany] knows us well and has done an incredible job, changing the way Burnley played for the last few years with Sean Dyche.
“He destroyed the Championship, since day one it was win, win, win and it’s so difficult in this competition. The style from Vinny, he’s done an incredible job, it will be a tough game.”

Pep Guardiola makes five changes for City’s Friday night Premier League opener away at Burnley.
Ederson, Nathan Ake, Rico Lewis, skipper Kevin De Bruyne and Phil Foden all come into the starting line-up from the side that kicked off the Community Shield last Sunday against the Gunners.
Grealish and Ortega Moreno both start on the bench along with summer signing Kovacic with fellow Croatian summer arrival Josko Gvardiol also amongst the replacements.
Stones misses out through injury while Dias is also not fully fit to be included in tonight’s squad.
We last faced the Clarets in the 2022/23 FA Cup quarter-final where an Erling Haaland hat-trick alongside goals from Julian Alvarez (two) and Cole Palmer secured a fine 6-1 win.
The Norwegian struck twice inside three minutes just after the half hour mark to hand us a commanding lead against a dogged Burnley side.

LAST TIME OUT
We narrowly lost to Arsenal after a penalty shootout in the Community Shield at Wembley.
Substitute Cole Palmer fired City ahead with a wonderful strike in the 77th minute with a left-foot curler into the top corner from the edge of the box.
But Arsenal equalised 11 minutes into injury time when Leandro Trossard’s low shot deflected off Manuel Akanji, wrongfooting Stefan Ortega Moreno taking the game to penalties.
In the shootout, Kevin De Bruyne hit the bar and Aaron Ramsdale saved Rodrigo’s penalty while the Gunners scored all of their four penalties.
