Official Supporters Club adds 12 Malaysian branches
Manchester City has welcomed more than 180 new members into its Official Supporters Club after 12 Malaysian branches affiliated in February 2021.

The groups are located in Johor, Melaka, Negeri Sembilan, Perak, Pulau Pinang, Kedah, Perlis, Pahang, Terengganu, Kelantan, Sabah, Sarawak.

With Selangor having become official in November 2020, City’s Official Supporters Club now has branches in all 13 Malaysia states, as well as in the capital of Kuala Lumpur.

The influx of new affiliated branches came about after the Chairman of Selangor, Taleeb Mizad, spoke to the various unofficial groups in the country and helped them to officially join the supporters club family.

Here is what they had to say after affiliating their branch:

Mumammad Naim – Chairman of Johor

“We are so pleased to be part of the Official Supporters Club family. We hope we can gather together again soon and hope we can become champion this season! We can’t wait to celebrate together. Come on City!”

Abdul Rahman – Chairman of Melaka

“I'm so proud to be part of the Official Supporters Club. Now Malacca is part of City's glorious history! We are City!”

Mohd Fazil – Chairman of Negeri Sembilan

“It cannot be expressed in words how great I felt when I was informed that we had become an official branch and have been recognised by Manchester City. I hope we can continue to grow together to develop and create history with Manchester City. Come on City!”

Muhammad Khabib – Chairman of Perak

“We have been supporting City since 2007 and we gather to do various activities together. It started with a love for football, then supporting a good club like Manchester City. We are very excited and happy to join the Official Supporters Club. Hopefully Perak and City can work together on everything. The Blue Moon is rising.”

Muhamad Hanif Bin Abdul Latif – Chairman of Penang

“We appreciate the determination of all our members to successfully affiliate the Penang branch. Thank you so much guys for all your hard work and devotion.”

Mohd Amirrudin – Chairman of Kedah

“I'm so happy and proud to be part of City's Official Supporters Club. It is an honour to support Manchester City since 2008. I hope this season we can win Champions League, which is very important and crucial, since it marks a new history and the feeling will be indescribable! Blue Moon Rising!”

Mohd Radzi – Chairman of Perlis

“Though we are living in the north part of our country, and Perlis is a very small state, our support is bigger than everything! Come on City!”

Khairul Aizuddin – Chairman of Pahang

“We are really grateful that the efforts and activities carried out by fans here in Pahang have been recognised by the Club and we’re now an Official Supporters Club. The Blue Moon is rising!”

Nurulamin Wan Hussin – Chairman of Terengganu

“I am a long-time City supporter. I started to be a fan in 1998 and my story was featured in the King Of The Kippax fanzine. To be a part of the Official Supporters Club means a lot to us. It means more fun, more connections and a sense of belonging.

“It has been a long journey for the City fans in Malaysia. From an idea in 2007 to gather City fans around Malaysia, it has now reached its pinnacle. It is a proud moment for us to be recognized and accepted into the big family of the Official Supporters Club. This will further boost our love and support for the best team in Manchester. In line with our branch's slogan: LOUD, PROUD, LOYAL.”

Mohd Noor Ibrahim – Chairman of Kelantan
