Twelve City stars selected for upcoming international break
Manchester City will have 12 representatives during the upcoming Women's international break.

Gareth Taylor's side will have seven representatives in England's November Women's World Cup qualifiers, while Caroline Weir has also been given the nod for Scotland and Filippa Angeldahl for Sweden.

Meanwhile, Australian duo Alanna Kennedy and Hayley Raso have been called up by the Matildas to face the United States in a two-match series and young Jess Park will link up with England's youth side.

Alex Greenwood, Lauren Hemp, Jill Scott, Georgia Stanway, Demi Stokes, Keira Walsh and Ellen White have all been selected in Sarina Wiegman's squad for the Lionesses' games against Austria and Latvia.

England sit top of Group D with a 100% record from their opening four games - comprehensive victories over North Macedonia, Luxembourg, Northern Ireland and Latvia, including two 10-0 triumphs.

Wiegman's side host Austria at the Stadium of Light on Saturday 27 November (12:30 UK time) before welcoming Latvia to the Keepmoat Stadium on Tuesday 30 November (19:00).

Ballon d'Or nominee White, who was named England's Player of the Year, could make her 100th cap for her country and is two goals away from equalling the Lionesses' all-time goalscoring record set by Kelly Smith.

Captain Steph Houghton (Achilles), goalkeepers Karen Bardsley (hamstring) and Ellie Roebuck (calf), Esme Morgan (lower leg fracture), Lucy Bronze (knee) and Chloe Kelly (ACL) miss out through injury.

Elsewhere, Caroline Weir will return to the Scotland squad for November's games against Ukraine and Spain.

Pedro Martinez Losa's side entertain Ukraine on Friday 26 November (19:35) at Hampden Park before travelling to the Estadio de La Cartuja on Tuesday 30 November (20:00).

Scotland currently are joint top of the table with Spain on nine points from their two wins over Hungary, as well as the Faroe Islands.

Ukraine (who have played one game less) have three points and sit level on points with Hungary, who have one win from their four games.

Elsewhere, Filippa Angeldahl will feature for Sweden in their World Cup qualifiers against Finland (Thursday 25 November, 17:30) and Slovakia (Tuesday 30 November, 18:00).

The Olympic silver medallists top the group with three wins from three, while Finland and Slovakia sit second and third respectively.

Alanna Kennedy and Hayley Raso will also be in action for Australia as the Matildas prepare for a two-match series with the United States.

Kennedy racked up a century of appearances in the previous break, when Australia faced Brazil in a similar format, while Raso returns to the squad after successfully recovering from a shoulder injury.

Finally, youngster Jess Park has also been called up for the England Under-23s squad.

Park joins up with Mo Marley's Young Lionesses for their clash with Estonia on Tuesday 30 November.
