City pair nominated for January's Premier League POTM gong

City pair nominated for January's Premier League POTM gong
Ilkay Gundogan and John Stones have both been nominated January’s EA Sports Premier League Player of the Month award.

City enjoyed a perfect January, winning all six Premier League games we were involved in, a run of form that saw us go top of the table.

Gundogan, outstanding throughout the month, featured in all six, scoring five times, including a goal at Chelsea and a wonderful double against West Brom.

And Stones’ incredible renaissance continued as he played in five of the six matches and was part of a back four that kept four clean sheets. He also bagged a brace in the 4-0 win over Crystal Palace.

Gundogan and Stones have been shortlisted alongside Craig Dawson (West Ham), Jack Grealish (Aston Villa), Bernd Leno (Arsenal), James Maddison (Leicester City), Matheus Pereira (West Brom), Bukayo Saka (Arsenal).
