City boss Enzo Maresca says Erling Haaland is fit and available for Sunday’s return to Premier League action away at Liverpool.

The trip to Anfield marks the resumption of domestic action following the extended international break which spanned both September and October.

Haaland came off during Norway’s UEFA Nations League loss to Portugal earlier this month as a precautionary measure.

That fixture came towards the end of what was an intense run of games across the international calendar.

However, addressing the media at Friday’s press conference, the Blues manager delivered an encouraging update on the striker’s condition and his availability for the trip to Merseyside.

“He’s good. He went to Marbella, [had] two, three days off, played golf, recovery,” the City boss revealed.

“Ready for Anfield. He’s good, thank you.

“It was good [to see him and the rest of the squad].

“The players were thinking again about their national team, some days off and then go again.

“It was good [to see him again].”

However, Phil Foden will miss out on the trip to Anfield.

The England international is still serving a suspension following his sending off in last month’s 1-0 Premier League win at Manchester United.
