Walsh and Stokes up for PFA Player of the Month

Keira Walsh and Demi Stokes have been shortlisted for February's PFA Bristol Street Motors Player of the Month award.

The pair have been key components for Nick Cushing’s side, helping the Blues maintain top spot in the FA Women’s Super League table.

In a month which was crowned by our memorable Continental Cup final triumph over Arsenal, City maintained our unbeaten start to 2019, drawing 2-2 at home to Chelsea in the league before despatching Everton 3-1 at the Academy Stadium where Walsh was on target.

England international midfielder Walsh has been in sparkling form for City and was also a prominent figure in City’s FA Women’s Cup 3-0 fourth round win over Watford and subsequent 3-0 fifth round triumph away at Tottenham.

City and England colleagues Stokes has been an equally crucial figure across all competitions, with the left-back showing that she is back to her very best after recovering from a long-term hip injury.

The Blues are the only top-flight side to remain undefeated and, alongside our Continental Cup win, currently sit top of the FA WSL 1.

And the duo have replicated their fine domestic form on the international stage, being part of the squad which saw England secure a memorable SheBelieves Cup triumph in the United States earlier this month.

To vote for either Keira or Demi, enter before 8am on Monday 11 March.
