Raheem Sterling was the late, late hero on several occasions for City and the winger illustrated his knack of coming up with crucial goals right in the nick of time in our third match of the season away at Bournemouth.
Gabriel Jesus had cancelled out an earlier Bournemouth strike but with time slipping away, it looked as if the Blues would be frustrated.
Then, with seven minutes of added time played, a low Danilo cross was somewhat dramatically turned home by Sterling whose shot gently looped into the left-hand corner of the net to give City a last-gasp victory.
The goal resulted in frenzied scenes among the travelling City fans and a second yellow for Sterling – but what a finish!
And for Raheem and his colleagues that late, late drama was just a taste of things to come…
It was another season to remember for Sergio Aguero who, over the course of a brilliant individual campaign, became City’s all-time leading scorer.
Arguably the highlight of Kun’s season was February’s 5-1 defeat of Leicester City at the Etihad.
City had gone in at the break level despite taking an early lead before the Argentine legend produced a second-half masterclass, scoring four goals to send the Blues 16 points clear at the top of the Premier League table.
After having wrapped up the 12th hat-trick of his City career, Sergio saved the best until last, lashing home a thumping shot off the underside of the bar.
