Fabian Delph has withdrawn from the England squad.

The midfielder has returned to Manchester and will be assessed by the Club’s medical staff.

The 27-year-old had earned his first international call-up since November 2015, ahead of the Three Lions’ World Cup qualifiers against Slovenia and Lithuania.

Delph’s impressive performances have been a major talking point of City’s recent form.

He has featured in five of the Blues’ last six games, completing 90 minutes in three and scoring a stunning goal against Crystal Palace.

He played the full 90 minutes of City’s 1-0 victory over Chelsea on Saturday.
