CUP JOY: City celebrate Tom Dele-Bashiru's opening goal against Liverpool

Manchester City will face Stoke City in the semi-final of the FA Youth Cup and here we chronicle everything you need to know about the fixture.

Goals from Jadon Sancho and Matt Smith saw City past Aston Villa in the quarter-final.

Having beat four of the biggest names in the competition in the shape of Liverpool, ReadingSouthampton and Aston Villa, City will be full of confidence heading into the first leg.

When and where?

City will welcome Stoke to the Academy Stadium at 7pm on Friday 10 March for the first leg before travelling down to the Potteries.

Stoke’s cup route and form

Stoke have seen off West Ham, Nottingham Forest, Brighton and Preston to get this far scoring 11 goals in the process.

However, they've not been so impressive in the Premier League and City have already beat their opponents both home and away.

Who to look out for

The key man for Stoke is ex-City striker Tyrese Campbell, who is leading the FA Youth Cup scoring charts having scored seven goals in just four matches in this year's competition.

City’s eligible players

Alongside City’s regular stars in the U18 Premier League, a number of Premier League 2 regulars are also available for selection in this tournament. That means the likes of Brahim Diaz, Lukas Nmecha, Sadou Diallo and Demeaco Duhaney are likely to feature.

City’s proud statistics

City’s only loss across all competitions at U18 level since November 2015 was the second leg of last year’s FA Youth Cup final against Chelsea.

City have won the U18 Premier League North and with a goal difference of more than fifty, they have been in incredible form.

Other matches in the round

Chelsea will face Tottenham Hotspur in the other semi-final after overcoming Leicester City and Newcastle United respectively.
