To get to the finals stage of the competition the team had to get through a tough qualifying group including Liverpool, Everton, Stoke City and Leicester City.

City U10s played nine games over the weekend including the semi final and final. The teams included Everton, Aston Villa, Newcastle, West Brom, Southampton, West Ham United and Derby County.

The semi final opponents were Everton and City convincingly beat them to reach the final against Aston Villa.

The whole team played fearlessly throughout, gaining the respect of opposition clubs with both the manner and attacking style of play.

Darren Hughes, the coach to lead the team on the day said: "I'm personally proud of the character and resilience shown by each player during some tough moments both during qualifiers and finals this weekend."

City's Alfie Harrison won the prestigious Player of the Tournament award which shows the Blues are developing individuals as well as successful teams.

This award could have been handed to a number of the City players who contributed to a fantastic group effort.

Congratulations, Blues!
