Safeguarding at Manchester City is everyone’s responsibility
At Manchester City, the safety, wellbeing, rights and dignity of every person we engage with are our highest priority. We are committed to creating environments where everyone feels safe, respected, valued and able to thrive.
Safeguarding is central to our culture and embedded across every aspect of Club activity. We believe that everyone has a role to play in preventing harm, promoting wellbeing and ensuring concerns are listened to, taken seriously and acted upon.
Through strong leadership, clear accountability and a commitment to continuous improvement, we strive to deliver the highest standards of safeguarding across all areas of the Club. This includes safer recruitment, robust policies and procedures, ongoing training and effective reporting and response mechanisms.
We comply with all relevant legislation and regulatory requirements, including those of the Football Association, Premier League and Manchester Safeguarding Partnership.
Our Safe at City framework brings together the policies, practices and standards that help ensure everyone who interacts with Manchester City can do so in a safe, positive and inclusive environment.
Everyone at City has an obligation to promote and protect the individual rights, safety, dignity and wellbeing of anyone involved in our activities. This is especially significant when we are responsible for children and other vulnerable people.
Manchester City Football Club has a specialist safeguarding team who work to promote and deliver a range of protective actions and are ready to respond to any concerns of abuse, maltreatment, harassment, bullying or neglect involving vulnerable people.
You can message someone from the team below if:
· you have a general query about our safeguarding framework; or
· a non-urgent safeguarding concern that relates to one of our activities, however significant or insignificant your concern may seem; or
· a concern about the conduct of someone connected to us that might be taking place outside of club activity, but may pose a risk to those inside our activities.
