In what was our first loss at the Joie Stadium this season, Renee Slegers’ side edged a seven-goal thriller to win 4-3 in Manchester.
After quickfire goals for the visitors handed them a two-goal lead, we fought back to level through strikes from Mary Fowler and Vivianne Miedema.
Frida Maanum restored the Londoners’ lead almost immediately but we equalised again through a Fowler penalty.
With the match finely balanced approaching the final 10 minutes, Stina Blackstenius tapped home Beth Mead’s cross from close range to seal three points for Arsenal.
And Taylor believes City will use Sunday’s disappointment to respond in our upcoming assignments.
“We have to dust ourselves down and analyse where we needed to be better today,” he explained.
“I felt it was quite a physical game, a lot of challenges and a lot of duels. Today we gave ourselves an uphill battle at the start of the game.
“We felt the game was there for us, certainly even at 2-1 and at half-time. The way it was, I felt we could capitalise in the wide areas.
“Aoba [Fujino] was fantastic today, I thought she was so good and we seemed to be causing them problems in the two-v-one situations out wide.
“We managed to score but conceded straight away in the second half which is difficult because that then knocks the confidence of the girls and it always feels like a little bit of an uphill battle from there.”
