Ellen White says she cannot wait to discover what City will go on to achieve in the coming years.

The England striker has signed a new deal with the Club, extending her contract to 2023.

Leading the line upfront, the Lionesses’ all-time leading World Cup goalscorer has bagged 24 goals in 55 appearances in all competitions for City so far, including 15 in the 2020/21 campaign.

Reflecting on her news, White says she had no hesitation in putting pen to paper, eager to be part of a ‘talented’ team striving for success.

“I’m delighted,” she declared. “I’ve really enjoyed the last two seasons. I’m really excited for what the future holds for this team and I really wanted to be part of it.

“We have some really talented players and I’ve really enjoyed working with Gareth Taylor.

“We want to strive for trophies. We’ve won the FA Cup but we won’t want to sit back - we want to keep progressing and developing, continuing to try and win more.
