The 17-year-old grabbed our first and fourth goals of the evening at the Etihad Stadium, with further goals from fellow debutant Allan, midfield maestro Rayan Cherki and fellow Academy graduate Ryan McAidoo.

It was yet another proud night for our Academy, with five Academy graduates all on the pitch when the full-time whistle blew to confirm our place in the fourth round, where we will host Brighton and Hove Albion.
“I wish I could [put it into words]. Amazing game. This is what I dreamed for and to make it reality, is just the best thing in the world right now,” began Player of the Match Samba in his interview with City Studios.
“Enzo [Maresca] spoke to me on Tuesday to put me as number nine as an idea.
“And then as it got closer I knew I would start.
“I just had to prepare mentally for the game.
“I think I coped quite well.”
