The Catalan previously described working with Juanma Lillo, who joined the Club as assistant boss in June 2020, as ‘a dream come true’ and more recently strengthened his coaching team further with the introduction of former Under-18s boss Carlos Vicens.
Asked whether their arrivals had made life easier for Guardiola, he insisted that all of the coaches he has worked with have made a massive impact on his managerial career.
“I was incredibly lucky in my career from Barcelona B to now. I have incredible staff by my side,” he said.
“Since Barcelona, Bayern Munich, all the people, Rodolfo (Borrell), Juanma (Lillo), Carlos (Vicens), and the English people I met here helped me a lot.
“Sports analysts, scientists, I could stay for half an hour to name all the people I’m incredibly grateful to.
“I need them, and they helped me a lot, many people here but also (those who have) helped me in the past – Mikel (Arteta), all of them.
“Domenec (Torrent) was so important in our first seasons here. After, he decided to make his career and did really well in New York.
“Mikel was so important and is now manager of one of the best teams in England.
“Juanma (Lillo) I’ve known for a long time, all of them help me a lot. I give them the best I can. They did a good job, a really good job.”
