Ahead of Sunday's FA Cup third round clash with Huddersfield, we bring you highlights of one of City's most famous games with the Terriers.

We have rewound the clock back to November 1987 when we chalked up our greatest ever league victory against the Yorkshire visitors.

It was a day that saw City put ten past Huddersfield in a Division Two match at Maine Road.

Neil McNab opened the scoring with a powerful left-footed drive, before Paul Stewart, David White and Tony Adcock completed the rout with a hat-trick apiece.

Former City man Andy May grabbed the visitors a consolation at 9-0, but it would do nothing to dampen the spirits of the Maine Road crowd, who witnessed a truly memorable performance from Mel Machin’s men.

Only Crystal Palace would score more than our 80 goals across that season’s Division Two campaign as City finished ninth in the table, before gaining promotion back to the top-flight the following season.
