The first instalment of the self-titled three-part film is now available to watch on CITY+ and includes interviews with the 28-year-old’s family and friends, Brazil legend Rogerio Ceni, as well as a host of archive footage from his childhood.
We learn about his upbringing in Sao Paulo, how he started playing as an outfield player and hear from the coach who convinced him to become a goalkeeper, whilst we also find out about the agonising phone call which confirmed his unexpected release from his hometown club.

The second part of the documentary, which chronicles his time in Europe, will be released on Thursday 2 December.
The final episode will be available the following week and focuses on the influence he has had on goalkeeping and his life away from the pitch.
In the remaining two parts, we hear from numerous colleagues past and present, including City’s Director of Football Txiki Begiristain, as well as former Benfica manager Rui Vitoria and fellow Brazilian goalkeeper, Julio Cesar.
