Toure's sumptuous strike was particularly unforgettable - a sensational looping effort from 25 yards, which drew City level after Fabio Borini had opened the scoring inside ten minutes for the Black Cats.
The ecstatic celebrations had not had chance to die down before Nasri turned the game in its head with a delightful finish on the half-volley, and Navas sealed the win in injury time on the counter-attack to end City's 38-year wait for the League Cup trophy.
