A City Decade: 2019

Saving the best until last!

City rounded off an unforgettable decade with yet more feats that rewrote English football history.

Pep Guardiola's men entered the record books as we retained the Premier League and Carabao Cup as well as lifting the FA Cup, to go with our earlier Community Shield triumph, so becoming the first-ever side to win all four domestic trophies in one season.

And yet more history was made when our women retained the Continental Cup with a dramatic penalty shoot-out win over Arsenal, meaning our men’s and women’s sides both lifted the League inside 48 hours.

Nick Cushing’s squad then made it a cup double as we lifted the Women’s FA Cup in style.

We then bid hello to a number of new signings in the summer before yet more history was made as the Etihad played host to more than 31,000 fans for the first-ever professional women’s Manchester derby in September.
