Nick Cushing was appointed as manager of Manchester City's women's team in November 2013
Having worked at the Club in various coaching capacities over a nine-year period, Chester-born Cushing was delighted to accept the challenge and proved his worth by leading the Club to a fifth-placed finish in the FA Women's Super League and a first ever trophy.
He started his career as a schools coach, working with junior teams. He then went on to become part of the coaching staff at City’s Academy.
During that time, he worked within the 12-16 Development Phase of coaching, collecting an A-Licence qualification along the way. He has also studied Management and Leadership, plus Business and Accounting.
He has led the Blues to five trophies in five years - three Continental Cups, one FA Cup and a league title - in addition to successive Champions League semi-finals and has received several individual accolades during his reign.
Truly dedicated with a firm philosophy and methodology, Cushing is passionate about developing talent and has guided several Blues to senior international call-ups, individual acclaim and trophy success.
He penned a new deal in December 2017.
