Richard Dunne is the only player in City’s history to win our Player of the Year award four times, having scooped the prize in consecutive years between 2004-2008.
He played for City between 2000-2009, arriving from Everton as a Joe Royle signing and making his debut away at Southampton. He quickly established himself in the side and was a permanent fixture until his departure nine years later.
Big, strong, deceptively quick and with a fantastic range of passing, Dunne had a wonderful all-round game. He left for Aston Villa in 2009 a firm fans favourite.
In total, he made 352 appearances for City and scored seven goals.
