About

For Bibi, feeling welcome at Manchester City has helped turn the Club into a place where she feels she belongs. As a child, she rarely saw Black fans represented in the stands, and her mum felt uncomfortable taking her to the match. Bibi was nervous about attending as an adult, too, but after her first visit following COVID, she found a friendly community where everyone mattered.

As a nurse, Bibi cares for people in her community, and she’s found a similar sense of connection through her Official Supporters’ Club. She has met people from across Doncaster and built friendships that have supported her mental health. Matchdays are about more than watching football: they’re a chance to celebrate the badge, catch up with familiar faces and welcome new ones. As she puts it, “Manchester City is not just football, it’s family.”

Bibi wants every supporter to feel welcome and part of the City community. Her message to anyone thinking about coming to a game is simple: “You belong here! Come to the stadium.”
