Urban Regeneration
Urban Regeneration

overview

Join us at the world-famous Etihad Stadium to explore the Urban Regeneration of the Etihad Campus and East Manchester.

A 45 minute presentation that focuses on the principles of regeneration using the Etihad Campus as a case study. The presentation will tell the story of East Manchester and look at the site in detail throughout the decades, highlighting the different phases of regeneration to how the site has got to where it is today.

The Eastlands site is a perfect example of how an area has been transformed over the years and how it has had to adapt and regenerate to meet the changing needs of a modern society. Manchester City have played a major role in the regeneration of the area and this educational experience will give the students an insight into the past present and future of the site.

The experience includes a tour of the site followed by a 45 minute presentation and is ideal for key stage 3 and 4, A-Level as well as university and college students studying Geography.
