Sensory Room – Accessible Matchday Experience at Man City
Sensory Room
Back in 2019, Manchester City proudly announced the opening of a sensory room at the Etihad Stadium. Situated in the North East corner of the stadium, appearing as a Puma shoe box from the exterior, the space has been specially designed for children who are neurodiverse.
The Sensory Room is a specially designed space that provides children with a calming, safe and structured environment to enjoy the game with their family and friends.
Due to phenomenal demand, we currently have a waiting list in place for our Sensory Room in which you can register you interest below.

Should you wish to visit the stadium in a calming non-matchday environment ahead of your visit on matchday, please contact the access team on 0161 444 1894 (Opt 1 then 2) or email [email protected] where a member of the team will be happy to help.
As part of your familiarisation tour you will be able to view your route into the stadium, your stadium seat and facilities such as the changing places facility and accessible toilets.
- The Sensory Room is a tailored matchday experience for each family's sensory requirements
- A quiet space for families (of up to 4 people) to watch the match, either from the room itself or outside seating in the stadium bowl within the family stand
- Full, unrestricted view of the pitch behind soundproof glass, creating a safe and controlled environment to watch the game
This dedicated sensory space will be in use throughout the season both on matchdays and for City in the Community to deliver sessions to participants on non-matchdays.

You are able to register your interest, via the form at the bottom of the Sensory room page, https://www.mancity.com/ticketing-and-hospitality/access/sensory-suite, and a member of the team will then be in touch with availability.
In addition to the sensory room, our dedicated access team are on hand to help with a personal approach to making your matchday experience as accessible and inclusive as possible, e.g., through our sensory packs (including items such as fidget toys and ear deafeners) for those who feel they can sit in general admission but need some extra sensory support, please get in touch with [email protected] to find out more.
In the week leading up to the game, a member of the team will call you to discuss a time and where to meet on the day.
On the day, you will then be met by a member of the team at the agreed location and time. They will then escort you up to the Sensory Room where you will enjoy the game. A video can be found below:
