What to Pack for Your Manchester City Summer: The Ultimate Checklist

1. Clothes for All Occasions

Manchester’s weather is a bit unpredictable! Even in summer, you might experience sunshine, drizzle, and cool evenings all in one day.
Top tip: pack in layers so you can adapt easily. You’ll be given your official Manchester City training kit to wear during your sessions, but you’ll still want:
• Casual outfits for evenings in the residence
• A warm hoodie or jumper
• A waterproof jacket
• Comfortable shoes or trainers for downtime

2. Training Gear

Come prepared to play your best game:
• Football boots suitable for grass or turf pitches
• Shinpads
• Goalkeeper gloves, if that’s your position
All other specialist training equipment will be provided by the coaching team.

3. Personal Items

• Toiletries
• Any prescription medication you’ll need for the full duration of your stay Note: some medicines common in other countries may not be available in the UK - so bring enough for your trip.

4. Important Documents

• Passport or photo ID
• Copy of health insurance details
• Emergency contact info (we recommend keeping this in your phone and on paper)

5. Spending Money

You won’t need much - your accommodation, meals, and kit are all provided. But a little pocket money for souvenirs from the City Store, shopping treats or snacks on outings is always nice!

What NOT to Bring

• No flammable items: candles, incense, lighters, fireworks, etc.
• No weapons of any kind: including pocket knives, laser pointers, or anything dangerous. • No tobacco, alcohol, drugs, or unauthorized medicines.
• No vehicles or wheels: that means no cars, skateboards, scooters, skates, or bikes.
• No pets
• No drones or motorized gadgets.
• No valuables: We recommend leaving expensive items at home.

• Double-check your travel documents before you leave 
• Label your belongings clearly - especially boots and training gear!
