Julie Blakstad completed 73 minutes for Norway in Saturday's win over New Zealand.

In preparation for this summer’s eagerly-awaited Women’s Euros, the Grasshoppers locked horns with the Football Ferns in a friendly.

The triumph marked Norway’s final game before the tournament, in which they will face hosts England in Group A.

Blakstad was named in the starting XI at the Ullevaal Stadium before being replaced by Karina Sævik, while former City midfielder Betsy Hassett lined up for the opposition.

Ada Hegerberg opened the scoring and Guro Bergsvand sealed the win in injury-time.

Norway kick-off their Euros campaign against Northern Ireland on Thursday 7 July (20:00) at St Mary’s Stadium in Southampton, before facing England on Monday 11 July (20:00) in Brighton and finishing the group stage against Austria on Friday 15 July (20:00).
