Manchester City Women and the Fold announce new long-term partnership

Manchester City's have become the first Barclays Women's Super League side to partner with a British womenswear brand.

The Fold will be the Official Formalwear Partner of Manchester City Women, providing access to a selection of quality tailoring, including the bestselling Clever Crepe performance suits for when the players need to perform and feel their best off the pitch.

The transeasonal suiting is crafted from breathable Japanese satin-back crepe, which is woven with stretch to offer a flattering fit without compromising on comfort.

As a brand that is built upon elevating women and championing ambition, The Fold shares the values of Manchester City in terms of celebrating equality and spotlighting women's achievements.

Throughout the partnership, our women's team and The Fold will also collaborate on an exciting campaign to celebrate the players and provide a further platform for women’s football.

Speaking about the partnership, Founder & CEO of The Fold, Polly McMaster, said: “We are proud to be the Official Formalwear Partner for Manchester City Women’s team at such a pivotal moment for women’s football.

"The Fold dresses women to achieve their ambitions; these incredible players are reaching the highest level of their sport and representing their countries.

"For their most important matches and big moments, we want them to feel confident on and off the pitch, to be at the top of their game.”

Gavin Makel, Managing Director of Manchester City Women, said: “As a club, we are proud to be pioneers within women’s football and it is clear that the appeal of the game and Manchester City Women continues to grow.

"It’s important for our players to look and feel professional both on and off the pitch and we’re therefore delighted to welcome The Fold as an Official Partner today.

"The team at The Fold have impressed us with their commitment to empowering women through fashion and we look forward to working with them throughout the partnership.”
