Julie Blakstad has completed a permanent move to Hammarby IF from Manchester City - subject to international clearance.

Her departure signals the end of the Norway international’s two years at the Joie Stadium following her arrival from Rosenborg in January 2022.

Shortly after joining the Club, she made her debut in a 3-0 win over Tottenham and went on to total 36 appearances for Gareth Taylor’s side, scoring 10 goals in all competitions.

During that time, she won the 2022 Continental Cup and featured in the 3-1 win over Chelsea at Plough Lane before helping us reach the FA Cup final of the same year.

Thanks to her performances in sky blue, she was included in Norway’s Euro 2022 and World Cup 2023 squads, going on to play at both major tournaments.

However, the 22-year-old has now made a permanent switch to Sweden with Hammarby.

Everybody at Manchester City would like to wish Julie all the very best for the future and thank her for all her contributions during her time at the Club.
