Khiara Keating has been named in the England squad for the first time ahead of the Nations League double header with Belgium at the end of October.

The goalkeeper is one of seven Manchester City players called up by coach Sarina Weigman for the games at Leicester’s King Power Stadium on Friday 27 October and in Leuven four days later.

Fellow goalkeeper Ellie Roebuck, defenders Alex Greenwood and Esme Morgan and forwards Lauren Hemp, Jess Park and Chloe Kelly are also part of the 25-player squad.

Keating has started each of our three Women’s Super League fixtures this season to help us to the top of the table and conceded only once, in the 1-1 draw with Chelsea after an outstanding individual display.

The 19-year-old, from Ardwick, has represented the Lionesses at various youth levels before her first senior call.

England’s home game will kick-off at 19:45 (UK) with the away game at 19:30 (UK) and a City-centric report will be available to read on mancity.com and the official Man City app soon after the final whistle.
