Khiara Keating and Leila Ouahabi have both been nominated for February’s Barclays Women’s Super League Player of the Month award.

City’s pair have enjoyed strong respective months which has helped Manchester City record four straight clean sheets ahead of the latest international break.

The goalkeeper and defender played the full 90 minutes in each of our wins over Leicester (2-0), Tottenham Hotspur (1-0), Arsenal (1-0) and Chelsea (1-0) as our relentless pursuit of three trophies continued.

Keating has cemented her place between the sticks in 2023/24 and she delivered professional performances to complete successive shutouts against Leicester then Spurs (Continental Cup).

She then followed this up with a stellar display in our 1-0 FA Cup victory away at Arsenal where she made a flurry of superb saves to keep the hosts out at Meadow Park as we secured passage into the quarter-final.

Finally, the England Youth international’s fine form continued at Kingsmeadow as we recorded a precious 1-0 win over Chelsea where she produced a jaw-dropping double save late on to help us record another clean sheet.

Alongside her in contention for the for the award is Ouahabi who further proved herself as a key component of City’s backline in February.

The 30-year-old full-back helped extend our fine defensive record this term against the Foxes and the Londoners with respective clean sheets.

By doing so, Taylor’s team still possess the finest WSL defensive record this term with only eight goals conceded so far.

It also follows the Spaniard’s two-year contract extension at the Joie Stadium.

City’s duo face competition from West Ham’s Honoka Hayashi, Leicester’s Yuka Momiki, Aston Villa’s Jordan Nobbs and Bristol City’s Amalie Thestrup.

Voting closes at 10:00 (UK) on Monday 26 February - elect either Keating or Ouahabi here.
