His long association with the Club spans over 27 years, beginning when he moved to Maine Road as a player in 1998.
A centre-forward in his playing days, he was part of the City team which secured successive promotions back to the top flight, including our dramatic 1999 Division Two Play-Off Final victory over Gillingham.
Moving on to pastures new in 2001, Taylor would hang up his boots a decade later, soon returning to Manchester as a coach in our youth setup, beginning with our Under-16s before taking on the Under-18s managerial post in 2017.

Back-to-back Under-18 Premier League Cup successes would follow before he was appointed Women’s Head Coach in May 2020.
Since then, City have picked up silverware in the form of the Women’s FA Cup and Continental Cup, and set new records in the Barclays Women’s Super League.
And an exciting end to the 2024/25 campaign beckons, with City in the Champions League quarter-finals and League Cup final in the coming weeks.
