Filippa Angeldahl has been selected to represent Sweden at this summer's World Cup.

The midfielder has been included in Peter Gerhardsson’s 23-player squad ahead of the latest instalment of the competition in Australia and New Zealand.

Angeldahl has enjoyed a hugely impressive campaign at City, becoming a regular starter in the latter part of the season.

She finished with five goals and three assists in 25 appearances, including sensational strikes against Bristol City and Chelsea.

The midfielder is an equally key fixture for her home nation ahead of what will be her first World Cup.

Making her debut in 2018, Angeldahl was part of the Sweden squad to finish as silver medallists at the Olympics three years later.

She remained an important figure at last summer’s European Championships, where she grabbed two goals as the Swedes reached the semi-finals.

Congratulations to Filippa on her World Cup selection!
