Filippa Angeldahl says City are prepared and have a good feeling amongst the squad ahead of our Continental Cup semi-final encounter with Chelsea.

The Sweden international has returned to the Club in fine form having scored two goals for her nation in the February international break.

Angeldahl also scored an unbelievable goal in City’s 2-0 home win over Chelsea at the end of last season, with Gareth Taylor’s side extending out unbeaten run against Emma Hayes’ side following our 1-1 draw and 1-0 win in the 2023/24 campaign.

With the flurry of positive performances against Chelsea, the City midfielder is looking forward to the highly anticipated cup clash on Thursday evening, with kick-off against the Barclays Women’s Super League champions scheduled for 19:15 (UK).

“We are really excited,” exclaimed Angeldahl. “It is the game we want to play and it’s a really important game so we are really looking forward to it.

“The first goal is always important and helps get that positive feeling but you don’t think about it like that, you always want to score and have a good game so hopefully we can do that against Chelsea.

“We are really happy and we have been performing really good so of course we have a good feeling heading into the game.

“The 12-game winning streak isn’t something we’ve been thinking about too much, we just want to win the next game.

“We don’t look too far ahead. We have a good feeling in the team and we just keeping going from there.”
