The best pictures from Anna Moorhouse’s first day as a Manchester City player.

An experienced international goalkeeper, she joins the WSL champions on a short-term loan deal from NWSL side Orlando Pride.

During her four-and-a-half seasons in the United States, Moorhouse has established herself as one of the NWSL’s most reliable stoppers, helping Orlando win the Double in 2024.

She also broke the NWSL’s clean sheet record in that season, registering 13 shutouts and conceding just 20 times across an unbeaten 26 matches.

Recognition soon followed with a first-ever England call-up, and Moorhouse has since earned two senior caps for the Lionesses alongside being part of their triumphant Euro 2025 squad.

Previously enjoying spells in England at Everton, Durham, Doncaster Rovers Belles, Arsenal and West Ham, as well as a stint in France with Bordeaux, Moorhouse now returns to her native Manchester until the end of January.

After sealing her loan move to City, the goalkeeper conducted her first interview with the Blues before posing for photographs in her new kit.
