“It’s great that other people are also [scoring],” began Jeglertz.
“But it shows that Carlotta is in the penalty box as a left-back pretty often in the games and how she is playing.
“Beth Mead is involved in a lot of things and she is learning a little bit of a new role.
“And especially learning a new team and everything we build is about relationships. I’m so happy for both of them, for both of their performances but of course also goals matter and they can be people you journalists are talking about afterwards so it’s good for them.”
Wamser has not only had to settle into life at a new club in a new country, but she’s also operating on the opposite flank to where she traditionally made her name.
As a left-back at City, she’s forged an effective partnership with Lauren Hemp and provided a constant attacking threat, as proven by her late strike in Munich.
It’s been an impressive four outings for Wamser, and Jeglertz believes this is just the beginning of what will be an exciting City career for the German.
“She has had a magnificent start with us,” began Jeglertz.
“Coming in just been here a couple days and then almost thrown in to start directly. She has so much talent and she’s having already from the start the energy, the curiosity of adapting to other players.
“She’s playing on the same side as Lauren Hemp, one of the best wingers. And finding how to play with her for the first time.
“She’s still in the learning phase and how we get the best out of her. But only then in this short time she shows she can play against Bayern in this way.
“She played tough games in the league also and been one of our best players in these games. I’m so pleased with her but I also know there will be even more things to develop in her. Her first period has been about adapting to us and then after that we can talk about the next step for her.”
