Named as the PFA Player of the Year for the second successive campaign, the Belgian became just the third player to win back-to-back awards, following Thierry Henry and Cristiano Ronaldo.
The prestigious honour capped yet another fine season for the City midfielder, who was a key figure in our Premier League and Carabao Cup successes, playing 40 matches across all competitions, scoring 10 goals and assisting a further 18.
De Bruyne also played a crucial role in our run to the Champions League final, scoring in the last-16, quarter-final and semi-final stage.
The 29-year-old’s sustained excellence also saw him named in the PFA's Team of the Year for the third time.
Now he is part of the talented Belgium squad seeking success at Euro 2020 with a mouth-watering last 16 tie against Portugal awaiting later this evening.
Ahead of the tournament, KDB took time out from his hectic schedule to sit in front of the City cameras for a relaxed portrait session.
And much like the great man’s play – it proved illuminating and easy on the eye!
