Phil Foden and Erling Haaland have both been nominated for Premier League Player of the Season.

It comes hot on the heels of the duo being put in the running for Premier League Young Player of the Season.

The pair are up for the prestigious annual honour, alongside Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak, Arsenal pair Declan Rice and Martin Odegaard, Chelsea’s Cole Palmer, Virgil van Dijk at Liverpool and Ollie Watkins of Aston Villa.

It’s been an impressive season for Foden and Haaland as we go in search of Premier League and FA Cup honours to add to our UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup trophies won earlier in the season as we held the ‘Big Five’ across 2023.

Foden has been sensational so far in this campaign and has already been named the FWA Men’s Player of the Year, ahead of teammate Rodrigo.

The 23-year-old, who has already won 16 major honours with City, has scored 24 goals so far this season, with 16 coming in the Premier League – both personal bests for the player.

He also charged past 50 all-time top-flight goals with his brace in April’s 4-0 win over Brighton.

Haaland, meanwhile, has been banging in the goals once again this season and tops the Premier League Golden Boot chase for 2023/24 on 25 from 28 games, four ahead of former City ace Palmer, as our star striker looks to retain the honour he earned in his first season here.

That includes two top-flight hat-tricks – three against Fulham in our 5-1 win in September 2023 and four in this past weekend’s 5-1 victory over Wolves and he also scored five goals against Luton in our 6-2 FA Cup win at Luton.

City are bidding to win this award for the fifth successive season.

Kevin De Bruyne won it in 2019/20 and 2021/22 while Ruben Dias emerged victorious in 2020/21 and Haaland won it in 2022/23 as the goalscoring focal point of our Treble success.

The other City winner was Vincent Kompany, who was successful in 2011/12 as the Club were crowned Premier League champions for the first time.

Voting for the award is open now and you can vote for Phil and Erling by clicking here.
