Manuel Akanji FPL price revealed

Find out how much Manuel Akanji will cost in Fantasy Premier League.

The defender joined City from German side Borussia Dortmund, committing his future to the Etihad Stadium until the summer of 2027.

During his time in Germany, he helped the Black and Yellows claim both the German Super Cup in 2019 and the German Cup (DFB Pokal) in 2020/21.

He becomes our fifth new recruit this season, following in the footsteps of Erling Haaland, Kalvin Phillips, Julian Alvarez and Stefan Ortega Moreno.

A Swiss international, Akanji has made over 40 appearances for his nation, and was part of the team to reach the quarter-finals of last summer’s European Championships, beating World Champions France on the way.

A player who adds plenty of experience to Pep Guardiola’s side, he comes in at the mid-price bracket for defenders in Fantasy Premier League.

The 27-year-old commands a fee of £5m, which makes him the cheapest of City’s senior centre-backs alongside Nathan Ake, who has been assigned the same value.

John Stones is next in the defending champions’ defensive pricelist. He sets you back £5.4m at present, with Ruben Dias (£6.0m) the most expensive of our centre-halves.

Kyle Walker is also similarly priced to Akanji at £5.1m, as is new midfielder Kalvin Phillips, who is currently available for £4.9m.
