Kevin De Bruyne faces a late fitness test for Saturday’s home clash with Norwich City, boss Pep Guardiola has revealed.

The Belgian came on for the closing stages of last weekend’s loss away to Tottenham, but Guardiola says he didn’t train on Friday and will be assessed tomorrow.

The Catalan also says that Ilkay Gundogan is fit play against the Canaries, though, Phil Foden is several weeks away from playing.

“Kevin could not train today,” said Pep.

“We’ll see how he feels tomorrow. Gundo is fit to play.

“Phil Foden will be ready after the break.”

Kyle Walker and John Stones didn’t take part against Spurs having just returned to training a few days before, but both will join Raheem Sterling in being available to start against the Canaries.

Asked on the progress of Stones and Walker, Pep added: “Every week, every day the players are better. Definitely.”
