The deadline for updated List A squads for this season’s UEFA Champions League passed on Thursday evening with clubs allowed to register a maximum of three new eligible players after the completion of the league phase and before the start of the knockout phase.
City submitted a 22-man List A squad before the start of this season’s league stage with rules stating that it can be made up of a maximum of 25 players, two of whom must be goalkeepers.
The trio will all be available for our play-off matches against Real Madrid at the Etihad Stadium on Tuesday, 11 February and away on Wednesday, 19 February.
In addition to the List A squad, a player can be registered on List B if they are born on, or after, 1 January 2003 and have been eligible to play for the club concerned for any uninterrupted period of two years since their 15th birthday by the time he is registered with UEFA – or for a total of three consecutive years with a maximum of one loan period to a club from the same association for a period not longer than one year.
Players aged 16 may be submitted if they have been registered with the club for the previous two years without interruption.
The deadline for our List B submissions is 23:00 (UK) on the night preceding each match throughout the competition.
