City’s dominant 2-0 FA Cup quarter-final victory over Newcastle saw Pep Guardiola’s side create yet another notable slice of English football history.

The victory meant that City became the first-ever English side to reach the FA Cup semi-finals for six consecutive seasons.

The reigning FA Cup holders, City have enjoyed superb record in the world’s most famous domestic cup tournament ever since Pep Guardiola took charge on 2016.

We were semi-finalists in Guardiola’s first season in charge and then went on to win the trophy for the first time under his leadership in 2019.

Since then, City have at least reached the last four every season and today’s victory saw us continue that remarkable record, creating yet more English football history in the process.
