Pep Guardiola has been nominated for the Barclays Premier League Manager of the Month award for January.

The City boss won the prize in November and December during which the champions embarked on a 12-match winning run in the Premier League.

Guardiola oversaw wins over Chelsea and Arsenal in January, with Southampton ending our winning run with a 1-1 draw at St Mary’s.

To secure a hat-trick of prestigious Premier League awards, Pep will need to fend off the challenge of three other candidates.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has also been nominated after his side won two and drew once in January.

Dean Smith saw his Norwich City side climb out of the bottom three with two victories and one defeat this month – each of his team’s triumphs resulted in the dismissal of the defeated manager, with Everton’s Rafa Benitez and Watford’s Claudio Ranieri both losing their jobs following a loss to the struggling Canaries.

The only manager to enjoy a 100% record was Wolves’ Bruno Lage, whose team beat Manchester United and Brentford on their travels as well as seeing off Southampton at Molineux.

The poll closes at midday GMT on Monday, 31 January.
