It’s all to play for as Manchester City enter the final furlong of the 2021-22 season.

Pep Guardiola’s side head into the business end of the campaign fighting for trophies on three fronts, top of the Premier League and with a Champions League quarter-final and FA Cup semi-final to look forward to.

City have produced numerous impressive performances to get to this point and, as has been the case with our previous title triumphs, our fine form has been a product of the entire squad’s contribution.

That’s reflected in the statistics, with a host of players achieving notable milestones, including Premier League records and career-best campaigns.

Check out 10 of the best stats from this season below.

Laporte’s perfection

Aymeric Laporte completed all 110 of his attempted passes as City beat Everton 1-0 in February, which is the most passes any player has achieved in a game without failing to find a team-mate since this data is available for the Premier League (2003-04).

The Frenchman also held the previous record, recording 109 against Leicester in December.

OUT IN FRONT

Guardiola currently has the best win rate, points-per-game, and goals-per-game ratios of any manager who has taken charge of a minimum of 10 games in Premier League history.

Cancelo’s attacking returns

Joao Cancelo has been directly involved in 11 goals in all competitions this season, scoring three times and providing eight assists.

It is the first time a defender has reached double figures in a single season for a Guardiola side since David Alaba for Bayern Munich in 2013-14.

De Bruyne from distance

Kevin De Bruyne has scored 21 Premier League goals from outside the box, which is the most of any player since his first season at City in 2015-16.

It is also the joint-most of any City player in the competition’s history, alongside Sergio Aguero.

ASSIST KING

De Bruyne made his 200th Premier League appearance against Everton in February, achieving 80 assists in that time, which is the most any player has managed in their first 200 matches in the competition’s history.

EURO GOALS

Riyad Mahrez has scored six goals in the Champions League campaign this season.

Should he convert once more, he will become the first player in the Club’s history to score seven or more goals in a single season in the competition.

MAHREZ MASTERCLASS

Mahrez has scored 22 times so far in 2021-22, which is the best return of his career in English football.

GOLDEN GLOVE

Ederson is the only goalkeeper in Premier League history to keep 15+ clean sheets in every season in which he’s participated in the competition.

CLEAN SHEETS

The Brazilian has the best clean sheet percentage of any goalkeeper to make 50+ starts in the Premier League, recording 87 shut outs in 173 starts.

RAPID CONVERSION

City became the 14th team to score 200 goals in the Champions League in the 5-0 win over Sporting.

We reached the tally in just 97 games, fewer than any of the other 13 teams in the competition.
