The Scout’s verdict for Gameweek 28 of Fantasy Premier League is in as City travel to Liverpool.

Pep Guardiola’s side play at Anfield as we take on title rivals Liverpool on Sunday 10 March, with kick-off scheduled for 15:45 (UK).

City will be looking to, at the very least, tie level on points with the league leaders by gaining a draw but a win would see us move two points clear at the Premier League summit.

Our last encounter with Liverpool was a 1-1 draw at the Etihad in November. Erling Haaland’s strike was cancelled out by Trent Alexander-Arnold’s late effort which denied City all three points.

And with this set to be the last time Jurgen Klopp and Guardiola go head-to-head in the English top-flight, we’ll likely have another thrilling game on our hands on Sunday.

Our last outing saw City fight back to beat Manchester United 3-1. Marcus Rashford put the visitors ahead early in the first half but a second half brace from an in-form Phil Foden was topped off by a late Erling Haaland strike to see Manchester stay blue.

And as we enter the final two months of the 2023/24 campaign, a number of important decisions loom for FPL managers looking to inspire a late charge to the top of their respective leagues this weekend.

Read our latest scout report below ahead of Saturday 9 March’s 11:00 (UK) deadline.

Phil Foden (£8.2m), once again, looks to be a must-have ahead of City’s visit to Liverpool in Gameweek 28 of Fantasy Premier League.

The England international has returned back-to-back double-digit hauls in Fantasy to take his total for the season to 158 points, which makes 2023/24 his best-ever campaign.

Foden now has six goals and an assist in the last six Gameweeks, with those seven attacking returns a team-leading tally.

In this period, Foden had 34 shots, more than any other player in Fantasy, while his 14 shots on target rank second. He also created 15 chances, underlining his all-round potential for points.

Notably, Foden also has a good record against Liverpool, with two goals and an assist in his last three Premier League visits to Anfield.

Darwin Nunez (£7.5m) is the opponents’ in-form player, having scored in each of his last three Premier League matches.

Elsewhere, Luton Town’s Carlton Morris (£5.1m) and Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo (£4.5m) are low-owned assets who both have two fixtures in Gameweek 28.

Morris has four goals and two assists in his last six matches ahead of clashes with Crystal Palace and Bournemouth.

Semenyo, meanwhile, faces Sheffield United and Luton off the back of his two goals in his last three matches.
