It was a typically influential period for De Bruyne, who showed signs of his best form as we approach the business end of the season.
He scored twice in the convincing 5-2 win over Southampton and followed that up with a sensational 20-yard effort that broke the deadlock in the second leg of our Champions League last 16 victory over Borussia Monchengladbach.
And, in the FA Cup quarter-final against Everton, it was De Bruyne’s impact off the bench which swung the tie in City’s favour, with the 29-year-old sealing our progress to the last four with a smart run and shot late in the game.
