The Senegalese international has become City’s latest 2026 summer recruit, further bolstering Enzo Maresca’s exciting new-look squad after sealing a move from Everton where he has shone bright for the past few seasons.
The 26-year-old attacking midfielder/winger has signed a five-year contract, one that will keep him at City through to the summer of 2031.
After putting pen to paper on the deal, Ndiaye revealed how immensely proud he was to have joined City.
And he revealed that after speaking with both manager Enzo Maresca and Director of Football Hugo Viana, his heart had been set on coming to the Etihad and how he was convinced he and City made for the perfect fit.
“It’s easy to make the decision about whether you want to be at Manchester City or not,” Ndiaye said.
“You can see the recent history; you want to be part of that project.
“They talked to me about where we could go, what we could achieve with me in the team, and I was interested from the beginning.
“There was nothing else that I wanted other than joining Manchester City.
“Obviously, you want to be part of this new project. I’ve seen recently what they’ve been doing, and I feel like I will fit right in it.
“I’m super excited to start.
“It’s an unbelievable moment. I’ve worked so hard to get to this point and I’m super excited and really grateful for this opportunity.”
Now that he has clinched the move up the M62, Ndiaye said his hopes and ambitions were simple and clearcut.
Namely to play his part in helping the Club go on to achieve even more silverware looking both to this season and beyond.
“Wherever you are, you want to win games and trophies,” Ndiaye pointed out.
“You have your solo targets as well but most importantly; it’s the team target.
“When you think about the team, if you work hard, it will come naturally.
“If you have the mindset to do it for the team and the fans, then the targets will come by itself.”
