On his 50th birthday, we take a look back at the most memorable moments from Pep Guardiola's glittering football career.

During his 33 years in the professional game, Guardiola has proven himself to be one of the best players, and managers the footballing world has seen.

As a player, the Catalonian started his career at his beloved Barcelona, where he would go on to win 15 major honours, including six La Liga titles and one European Cup before leaving for Brescia in 2001.

He returned to Barcelona in 2007 to take charge of the B team and, following a successful first stint as a manager, was appointed Head Coach in 2008.

Overwhelming success would follow for the Catalan side as Guardiola guided them to 13 major honours in four years, before he took a one year sabbatical.

A move to Bayern Munich followed, where, once again, he enjoyed great success, winning three Bundesliga titles in his three years at the Allianz Arena.

The Catalonian then arrived in Manchester, taking over City in 2016. His first success came in the 2018 Carabao Cup final, and this was backed up by a record-breaking Premier League title win three months later as City became the first team to record 100 points in a single English top flight campaign.

The season after Guardiola‘s side again broke records, becoming the first team in English football to win all four major honours in one season.
