The Brazilian international’s move to Arsenal closes a highly successful period in sky blue.
During his time in Manchester, the striker won every domestic trophy and scored a number of important goals for Pep Guardiola’s side.
Here we will take a closer look at the statistics from Jesus’ City career.
Jesus has been a key part of a glittering era for the Club in terms of first team trophies; winning four Premier League titles, four Carabao Cups, one FA Cup and two Community Shields. A total of 11 honours.
Amongst Brazilians, that is the joint second-best haul of Premier League titles – second only to Fernandinho, who won it five times. He is joined on four titles by City goalkeeper Ederson.
His first Premier League title came in the 2017/18 season, when he scored the final day goal that beat Southampton and took City to an unprecedented 100 points. He also won the league in 2018/19, 2020/21 and 2021/22.
His four Carabao Cup successes came in 2017/18, 2018/19, 2019/20 and 2020/21. He scored twice in the 2018/19 FA Cup final as City beat Watford at Wembley and played in both Community Shield victories in 2018 and 2019.
Jesus played 236 times during his spell as a City player. His versatility across the front line and strong work ethic ensured he was never far from Pep Guardiola’s thoughts.
Across those 236 matches, he was on the pitch for 14,297 minutes. That’s an average of just over 60 minutes per appearance. The Brazilian was used as a substitute 85 times, starting on 151 occasions.
Jesus leaves the Etihad Stadium only five short of a century of goals in City colours.
58 of his goals came in the Premier League, making him the Club’s joint-fifth highest scorer in the league since the introduction of the Premier League in 1992. That haul also makes him the second most prolific Brazilian in Premier League history, after Liverpool’s Roberto Firmino.
His 20 strikes in the Champions League makes him the third highest scorer in European competitions in the Club’s history.
Not just a goalscorer, Jesus also supplied his team-mates regularly. He registered a total of 46 assists for his team-mates.
2021/22 was his most successful season on that front in the Premier League, with nine assists.
However, 2019/20 was the season he amassed his most assists in total with 14 across all competitions.
The Brazilian’s highest scoring season at City was in 2019/20, when he scored 23 times across all competitions.
This included 14 strikes from 34 Premier League appearances, six goals in eight Champions League games, two in FA Cup matches and one in the Carabao Cup.
Jesus claimed four hat-tricks while at City and in two of those, he actually scored four times!
Four of his eight goals in the Premier League last season came in the 5-1 defeat of Watford and he also hit four in the 2018/19 Carabao Cup meeting with Burton Albion.
The other two hat-tricks, the ones in which he actually scored three, came in the Champions League wins over Shakhtar Donetsk in 2018/19 and Dinamo Zagreb in 2019/20.
Of Jesus’ 56 senior international caps, 50 have come since he first arrived at the Etihad Stadium in January 2017.
He has scored 14 of his 19 goals for Brazil in that time, including in the semi-final and final of the 2019 Copa America – which was won by Brazil.
