The Scout's Fantasy Premier League verdict is in ahead of City's meeting with Crystal Palace.

The Blues travel to face the Eagles on Friday 28 August, with kick-off scheduled for 20:00 (UK).

It represents Enzo Maresca’s first Premier League away fixture in charge of the Club since his appointment as Manager this summer. 

And the clash at Sellhurst Park will be one of 10 matches which FPL managers will be keeping a keen eye on this weekend.

CITY STAR 

Rayan Cherki’s (7.5m) appearance off the bench in Sunday afternoons victory over Bournemouth, has gained the attention of FPL managers.

Cherki played just over 30 minutes in the victory, assisting both goals and returning a bonus point for his FPL managers. The midfielder supplied three crosses and created four chances after coming on, meaning he created a chance every 8 minutes. Only one player in the FPL game could better that in Gameweek 1.

FPL managers like to own players, like Cherki, with set piece responsibilities as it broadens their route to points.

Last season Cherki registered 17 attacking returns, averaging 5.8 points per start which only Erling Haaland (£15.5m) in the Man City team could better. The Frenchman could be an excellent differential for managers heading into Gameweek 2.

ONE TO WATCH 

City play Crystal Palace in Gameweek 2. Palace’s Adam Wharton (£5.5m) was top across the Palace team for chances created in Gameweek 1.

Elsewhere, Anton Stach (£6.0m) and Nobel Mendy (£4.0m) are low-owned gems who have good potential in Gameweek 2.

DIFFERENTIALS 

Stach scored Leeds’ winner in Gameweek 1, whilst also registering Defensive Contribution points, three bonus points and a clean sheet point on his way to a 13-point haul.

Meanwhile, Mendy kept a clean sheet, scored and returned Defensive Contribution points as Hull beat Manchester United.
